Connections Festival Belfast
Connections is a branding concept for an annual rave festival in Belfast which focuses on the connections formed within oneself and others through dancing. Visually it takes the form of a 6 part poster series, various billboards, merchandise, stage screen visuals and an instagram page. The branding imagery is derived from a pair of dancing hands which when stagnant reveal interesting abstract shapes in the movement. The name Connections was inspired by the book ‘On Connections’ by Kae Tempest which proposes the idea that there is commonality among all humans despite politics, religion, ethnicity and gender suggesting it is creativity that allows this to surface.
